ABOUT ME

I am a pediatric emergency medicine physician with experience in administration and clinical research. I received my undergraduate degree in biology from MIT and my medical degree from the University of Miami.

I did my residency in general pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and my pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Following that I moved back to my home state of Florida and work clinically at UF Health Jacksonville and am a principal investigator on NIH-funded studies seeking to optimize the emergency treatment of pediatric asthma.

I have extensive clinical administrative experience (Associate Medical Director of a Pediatric ED and two EMS agencies). One of my passions is teaching EMS providers principles of pediatric prehospital care. I also have extensive research administrative experience as Director of the UF Center for Data Solutions (www.centerfordatasolutions.org).

I understand how to successfully implement policies that ensure quality pediatric emergency care, as well as integrate research into a pediatric clinical environment.
